FAQ
Are Mac's Supported?
The two VST's, VVMicVST and VVTetraVST are available as Mac universal binaries as well as for Windows. The program VVMic for TetraMic is only available for Windows, but it is reported to work for batch processing in
Wineskin
Where should my calibrations files go?
Calibration files should be place in the following directories:
Windows:
C:\Program Files\VVAudio\VVMic\calibrations
Mac:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/calibrations
What hosts do VVMicVST and VVTetraVST work in?
Reaper is an inexpensive but very useful DAW for both Mac and Windows that supports multichannel plugins well. Steinberg's Nuendo is now supported as well. AudioMulch for Windows, Max/MSP for Mac and Plogue for both are all patcher style programs that work well. Example patches for all of these programs are available on the
Downloads page.
What about Linux?
Linux software to support Core Sound's TetraMic is available from Fons Adriaenson at
Kokkini Zita
What about Pro Tools?
Currently, the best option for using a TetraMic in ProTools is to post process your recordings either using VVMic for TetraMic or the VST's in an application like Bidule. You can either convert to B-Format and then use SoundFields SurroundZone plugin, or convert directly to your destination format, e.g. 5.1. We hope to provide better support for ProTools in the future.
