Description

VVMicVST calculates up to 8 virtual microphone signal from a b-format input. Check out the VU Mode function. I'm not yet sure how truly useful it is, but it's great fun to watch. You might also want to check out the stand-alone version version of this program.

Download & Install

You can download the Windows version as a zip file containing just the dll here.

The Mac version is available here. This is for OS X, PPC only. I'll get to the Universal Binary Soon.

If you are interested in the source code for this program, contact me at david@mcgriffy.com. I am in the process of releasing this program and it's VST counterpart to Source Forge. I've done all the project setup. All I need to do to get this project up is put in the right copyright headers and test the resulting package to make sure it still compiles on both platforms. Any programmers who are interested can contact me for info.

Controls

Settings File Format

It is my intention to someday add the ability to load files in the VST plug-in that were saved in the stand-alone VVMic and vice-versa. That way you could tweak for the sound in real time using the VST then batch process your mixes later with the stand-alone version, sharing the same settings.

Thanks to Angelo Farina for the original FORTRAN code on which this is based and to all on the sursound mailing list.
